Belt Conveyor
Widely used in mining, metallurgy, and the coal industry to transfer all kinds of materials and realize the continuity and automation of production.
Applicable materials: It is suitable for conveying powdery, granular, small pieces of low-abrasive materials and bagged materials with a density of less than 1.67/ton/cubic meter, such as coal, gravel, sand, cement, fertilizer, grain, etc.
Description
The belt conveyor is used to transport materials or finished items. According to the requirements of the conveying process, they can be transported by a single unit, composed of multiple units, or combined with other conveying equipment to form a horizontal or inclined conveying system to meet different needs. The belt conveyor can be operated with temperatures from -20 degrees to +40 degrees. The temperature of the transported materials should be lower than 50 degrees.
The belt conveyor has the advantages of large transport capacity, simple structure, easy maintenance, and standardized components. We can accord user requirements to determine the belt conveyor’s length and assembly form. Electric rollers or driving devices with drive frames can be used for transmission. The belt conveyor is mainly composed of a frame, conveyor belt, belt roller, tensioning device, transmission device, etc.
Advantages
- Simple structure & long conveying distance;
- Wide application scope & strong adaptability to materials;
- High reliability; high efficiency;
- Low energy consumption and maintenance costs;
- The conveying system can be single or multi-conveyors or combined with other equipment to meet various requirements.
Principle
A belt conveyor uses the conveyance to draw and support components and transport materials through the moving belt. It utilizes the inner friction and side pressure of loose material to increase the internal pressure from the pulling force in its moving direction produced by the rolling chamber in the adhesive chamber, thus increasing the internal friction. When inclination falls within a certain scope, the inward friction force can ensure stability between layers and create continuous movement. When the internal friction force between the layers is larger than the external force of the adhesive, the roller beneath the adhesive will move along with the material. When the ratio of internal force and external force meets a condition, the material flow is stable.
